The saddle shape must be verified by our site engineer at key stages of the tensioning process against the design geometry to confirm the structure is achieving the correct form.

Conical tensile shade installation involves erecting a central compression mast, installing radial cables from the mast head to perimeter anchorage points, attaching the conical membrane to the mast ring at the apex and to the perimeter edge cable at the base, and progressively tensioning the radial cables to the design tension levels. The conical rise and perimeter geometry must be checked during tensioning to confirm the membrane is forming the correct conical shape.
